49 years

I did a session about a week ago for a family of 11. It was the grandparents’ 49th wedding anniversary and their daughter booked the session as a gift for them. The grandfather had just had a heart attack two weeks prior, so these are sure to be very special to them.

I saw this picture and just fell in love with it. Every time I look at it I get choked up, it’s just so wonderful. I keep thinking that I can’t wait to have this kind of history with my husband.

As I was editing this photo, the doorbell rang. The postman dropped off a package from my husband in Iraq. Inside were t-shirts he had worn, as well as a very sweet card. The card talked about being together, sharing our lives, starting a family some day, growing old together. It couldn’t have been more perfectly timed. I love him so much.
